Brittany Olsen-Boblitt

Brittany is a speech-language pathologist, who received her Master's equivalent in Medical Speech Language Pathology from the University of Washington in August 2009. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington.

Brittany was first introduced to the field of speech language pathology during her work as a classroom aid in special education classrooms in California. During that time, she developed a passion for working with children on the Autism Spectrum. During her post-baccalaureate work and graduate studies Brittany's areas of interest grew to include general pediatric communication disorders, Apraxia, implementation of social skills groups, feeding therapy, and aural rehabilitation. Additionally, Brittany has experience treating children with articulation, language and literacy delays.

In addition to her passion for treating children with speech and language difficulties, Brittany also has an interest in contributing to the body of research in language acquisition and treatment of language disorders. Recently, she completed a project examining the neurophysiological responses to grammatical errors in typically developing 3-4 year old children. She is currently developing a project to examine the effectiveness of group treatment to target social skills development.

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys teaching ballet at a local dance studio, cooking, and exploring the Puget Sound with her husband and dogs.
